Welcome to Mental Health Together.

Mental Health Together originated from Royal Leamington Spa in October 2017 and moved online in 2020 to serve a greater purpose.

We support mental health awareness and encourage people to talk and come together.

The ethos is to bring people together which encourage open conversations about mental health in a safe, supportive, stigma-free environment.

We all experience fluctuations in our mental health and wellbeing, yet many of us still find it hard to speak out openly about this. In the UK around 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health condition each year. Many more of us will experience times when our mental barometer won’t be at one hundred percent; times when we are feeling anxious, insecure or just trying to cope with the many issues life throws at us.

Mental health describes your mental state: how you are feeling and how you are able to cope with the stresses of day to day life. Although mental health is forever changing with good days and bad days some people suffer from mental health disorders or issues where the balance of good and bad days is interfered with. Mental health is a spectrum from people who are diagnosed with a condition to those who know what their struggles are but don't have a diagnosis.

Mental health problems are more common than people think with one in four people experiencing a mental health issue each year, however nearly two-thirds of people will never seek help because of fear of stigma, discrimination. The “Time to Change” anti-stigma advertising campaign encourages us to talk about our mental health and attitudes are changing.
